SERVICE RECORD HIGHLIGHTS

Whilst in a billet in a barn, was hit by several pieces of a shell which came through the roof; groin, top of legs, took fingers off.  Stretcher bearers bandaged him and took him away, but he died before they reached the Dressing Station
